How Behavioural Data is Captured

See how user interactions are converted into behavioural signals and used to generate scores.

Overview

The Begini assessment captures behavioural data by analysing how users interact with a series of structured tasks — not what they say about themselves. Because it measures observed behaviour in real time, the data is more consistent and significantly harder to manipulate than self-reported answers.

What is captured

Decision patterns

Choices made during tasks, risk-taking behaviour, and trade-offs under uncertainty. These reveal how users approach decisions.

Timing and response behaviour

Time taken to respond, variability in response speed, and hesitation or rapid answering patterns. Timing signals confidence, uncertainty or inconsistency.

Interaction sequences

Order of actions, changes in behaviour across tasks, repeated or corrected actions. This builds a picture of behavioural consistency across the session.

Attention and engagement

Task completion behaviour, signs of disengagement, and drop-off patterns. These assess whether the user is genuinely engaging.

Session-level behaviour

Total time to complete, flow through the assessment, and irregular patterns. This provides context for interpreting the overall session.

Beyond inputs

Begini captures the full interaction layer — pre-decision behaviour, in-task interactions, and post-action adjustments — not just final answers. This produces a far richer dataset than traditional questionnaires.

Resistance to manipulation

Because Begini measures how users behave rather than what they claim, it is more resistant to coaching or gaming. Indicators of potential manipulation — such as random responses, uniformly fast answers, repeated attempts, or assisted completion — are captured as trust signals and reflected in the Trust Score. See Fraud Detection & Trust Score for details.

How captured data feeds into scoring

All behavioural data is processed through Begini's scoring models, which analyse patterns across individual task performance, cross-task consistency, and behavioural trends. This produces the structured risk outputs described in How Scoring Works.
