What is a Unique ID and why do we need it?
When you integrate with the psychometric assessment web app or either of the device data SDKs, you must provide a Unique ID (UID) via the API. This UID will be passed back to you once the results have been processed. So whatever you provide as the UID will correlate as a data point you can use for the rest of the user journey. This is usually a Customer ID or Application ID that is already used in your existing user journey. Please note, a UID can only be used once per event, however a prefix or suffix can be added to the UID if you do wish to score someone again.
What you shouldn't use?
Do not use any personal identifiable information (PII) such as national IDs/DoBs/Address. We use the UID approach to ensure we have no identifiable information on the people we deliver a risk rating for.
What format should the UID be in?
It can be any alpha-numeric combination with a minimum of 5 characters and up to maximum of 60 characters. It can include reference to internal requirements such as branch, loan officer, demographic etc reference points, ABCDE-12345-CD-0129837. The UID is yours to use as you see most suited for your use case.
