Using The Beacon Dashboard
Learn how to navigate and use Beacon to manage deployments, results and integrations.
Overview
Beacon is the Begini dashboard used to configure deployments, generate assessment links, review results, and monitor activity. It is the operational hub for your Begini setup — most day-to-day interaction with the platform happens here.
Warning: Before clicking the verification link in your invitation email, ensure all other Begini links are closed in your browser (e.g. the psychometric demo or demo dashboard). If other Begini sessions are open, a token conflict may occur and your administrator will need to re-send the invitation.
Key areas
Deployment Centre
Where all configuration lives. Each deployment has a Test and Production tab containing:
- Integration ID and API key for that environment
- Session time limit settings
- Assessment use case and device configuration
- Branding (logo, colours)
- Redirect URLs for completion, cancellation, and expiry events
- Webhook endpoint URL
This is where you find the credentials needed for API integration and where you configure the assessment behaviour.
Link Generator
Generate assessment links without any development work. Select a deployment, name the batch, choose how many links to generate, then download and distribute. Each link is tied to that deployment's configuration. This is the fastest way to start sending users through the assessment.
Results
View assessment outcomes per deployment. From the results screen you can:
- Search by UID
- Filter by status, risk band, and date range
- View individual results including risk rating, trust rating, trait scores, and metadata
- Export as CSV or XLS
- Use Re-try to manually attempt rescoring where needed
The results screen defaults to Production — switch to Test to view test sessions.
Dashboard
Overview of activity and performance across deployments. Shows today's activity and configurable time-period breakdowns. Switch between Psychometrics and Device Data at the top if you have both products.
Access and user management
Users are invited via email. Each user can be assigned as admin or viewer. Access can be managed from the profile dropdown (top right) → invite teammates. You are automatically signed out after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Common mistakes
- Creating multiple deployments with unclear names — use a consistent naming convention (e.g.
Personal Loans - Production,SME - Test) - Not checking the correct environment tab when retrieving credentials
- Forgetting to configure Production settings before go-live (redirects, webhook endpoint, branding)
Next steps
- Managing Deployments — configure your deployment settings in detail
- Data, Exports & Monitoring — access results and monitor performance
- Managing Users & Access — control who can access Beacon
