Overview
The way you introduce the Begini assessment to your customers has a direct impact on completion rates, data quality, and overall user experience. Applicants who understand what to expect before they start are more likely to complete the assessment genuinely and in one sitting — which produces more reliable results.
This guide explains what to communicate to applicants, how to frame the assessment correctly, and provides ready-to-use message templates across each channel.
What applicants need to know before they start
Three things matter most:
- What it is — a short interactive activity, not a traditional form or quiz. It involves a series of games or tasks on their phone. It typically takes 3–5 minutes.
- There are no right or wrong answers — this is the single most important thing to communicate. The assessment measures how people naturally think and make decisions, not whether they answer questions correctly. Coaching or second-guessing responses does not improve outcomes and may reduce the reliability of the result. Applicants should be encouraged to respond naturally and not overthink.
- What happens next — where they will be redirected after completion, and roughly when they can expect a decision or next step.
What not to say
Avoid language that implies the assessment is a test they can pass or fail. Phrases like "make sure you do well" or "try your best" create the wrong expectation and may encourage coached or unnatural responses, which reduces data quality.
Also avoid being vague. Applicants who do not understand what they are about to do are more likely to drop off mid-session.
Tone guidance
Keep messaging friendly, clear, and brief. Applicants are typically completing this as part of a loan or credit application — they may be cautious or uncertain. Reassure them that the process is straightforward, that their data is handled securely, and that completing it honestly gives them the best chance of a good outcome.
